Face Charts

I decided to do a few face charts last night and combine some of the drawings and sketches I have done recently to create some catwalk looks. These are only a couple of ideas which I have in mind at the moment. I'm just developing some designs, taking out aspects of each and creating a new looks. Enjoy!

This first idea is a catwalk look for a man. I will use a bold black earing which appears to be an ear stretch. I added a couple of black cicles along the jaw line and a black triangle onto the chin which references tribal face and body art. The eyebrows will be darkened and made to look wild representing the naturalistic side of tribal life. This will also contrast again the structured sides of the head. I create a strong point in the hair line at the cheek bone giving the look a hard edge.
The skin will be flawless and dewy and the contouring will emphasise the manly but beautiful look of a tribal chief or warrior. I love the idea of having a nose stretch all the way through therefore I create my own and use dup glue to sitck to either side of the models nose.
The hair will be a hair piece which I will have previously created which contrasts again the models natural/current hair colour referencing the feathered head pieces which the man wear.

The second and third face chart. Makeup used and ideas written on the paper.

  1. As mentioned before, your drawings are exciting and engaging! I need to see that you are exploring how these ideas will actually work on the face and body. More tests in class needed.

Good to see your notes on the templates.
