The textiles which make their jewellry are beautiful. I have been looking around at textures and coloured fabrics which I could use to create body jewellry. The plaits which are in their hair match the way in which the accessories are made.
Also the braids in their hair are either plaited as you can see or some of them are made out of soils water and mud from the earth (the reddy brown paste). They paint this onto their hair and let it set hard to create each single braid. This is so natural and represents how the tribe uses the earth to create styles.

Here is a drawing I did of an image I found on the internet of one of the female tribe members. It shows how the hair, skin and use of chunky accessories is all combined together to create their appearance. This inspires on me the aspects which I want to include into producing my looks for both catwalk and editorial on creating a look purely focusing on these aspects and the skin is a vital part of my design.
